Size chart comparison: body or garment measurements
Compare matching figures from two body charts or two garment charts. See numerical differences in centimetres or inches, with no size recommendation or prediction of fit.
Keep the definitions attached
Different charts. Clear differences.
A body circumference and a flat garment width describe different things. If a definition is missing, check the exact product’s measuring instructions before calculating.
Two matching flat garment widths differ by 4 cm. This does not tell you whether either garment will fit.
First, check what the chart measures
A body chart describes body measurements. A finished-garment chart describes the clothing itself. This calculator accepts two body charts or two garment charts, so it cannot turn a body measurement into a garment size.
Compare the same measuring points
Choose a row name and the method defined by both charts: circumference, flat width or length. Use the same unit in every field. For example, two fictional flat chest widths of 50 cm and 54 cm differ by 4 cm. That difference does not establish comfort or fit.
Read the difference, then keep the product guidance
The calculation is Chart B minus Chart A, without rounding the inputs first. Displayed figures are rounded to three decimals; a smaller difference is labelled as such. The tool does not average measurements, apply a universal size-up rule, or account for stretch, cut, movement or personal preference. Check the exact product’s measuring instructions when a definition is unclear.
